Established in 2020, the Platcorp Foundation serves as the not-for-profit sustainable investment arm of the Platcorp Group. Our mission is to support innovative and sustainable conservation and community development projects through a blend of impact-first and philanthropic investments. We aim to develop bankable solutions addressing key environmental and social challenges, including conservation, food security, water access, renewable energy, and climate change.
At the Platcorp Foundation, our legacy projects are designed to be catalysts for sustainable development across Africa. By leveraging our extensive networks, including Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), impact investors, and capital markets, we mobilize greater investment and support for targeted projects, organizations, and landscapes. Through active involvement in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of these initiatives, we aim to establish enduring partnerships and foster sustainable business models.
Funded internally through our subsidiaries, the Foundation provides long-term financial and technical assistance to organizations dedicated to protecting and restoring natural landscapes, making them economically viable for local communities.
Given the urgent need to address the growing loss of nature, we aim to significantly expand the scope and impact of our legacy projects across the region, cultivating a sustainable future for both people and the environment.
