Before this can be achieved, financial services should ensure they minimize harm wherever possible. At Platcorp we strive to continuously improve our social performance and as such 6 of our subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania have been approved for Certification in Client Protection in line with the Client Protection Standards of the CERISE Social Performance Task Force.

Twenty years of research and refinement of best practices in the inclusive finance industry have brought together 8 Client Protection Standards which ensure that financial services are delivered to clients in a safe, responsible, and fair manner. These standards are fully incorporated within the Universal Standards for Social and Environmental Performance Management. These 8 standards that our subsidiaries have been bench marked against include:
