Water

Water covers 70% of the Earth's surface and only a small fraction of it is freshwater suitable for consumption and other vital uses. More people, more industries, and climate change are putting a lot of pressure on water, making it scarce in many places. Platcorp Group is leading the way in saving water. Since 2020, we've been tracking and managing how much water we use in our subsidiaries across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, and Zambia.

At Platcorp Group, we analyse the various activities within the organization that involve water use. We take a systematic approach to tracking and calculating our water usage across all our subsidiaries. We utilize advanced monitoring systems and data analysis tools to measure the amount of water consumed in our operations. By collecting detailed information on water usage, we can identify trends, pinpoint areas of high consumption, and implement targeted strategies for conservation.

We conduct regular audits of our offices to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices in water management. This includes optimizing processes, investing in water-saving technologies, and promoting a culture of conservation among our employees and among our stakeholders. We are committed to raising awareness about global water issues both within our organization. Through internal communications campaigns, employee engagement activities, interactive online platforms, community social responsibilities, we aim to highlight the importance of water conservation and advocate for sustainable water practices.
